It doesn't matter whether you are working full time or retired. - Health Matters in Everything We Do - When approaching retirement we must evaluate where we are at financially, emotionally, and physically. Prior to retiring I scheduled a physical, colonoscopy, and had a nuclear stress test and felt like I was ready to conquer the world. Reality trumps conjecture as my retirement journal chronicled in early 2004. It pays to be physically active and adapt healthful living strategies long before you leave. This site, with the help of Charles Jumpeter, our contributing writer, will help you focus on many of these issues.
Chuck Jumpeter I would like to welcome Charles (Chuck) Jumpeter to our Federal Employee's Health Awareness Forum. Chuck worked for over 36 years with Uncle Sam and he is a well known and highly respected consultant, employee involvement specialist, and independent business man. I've known Chuck for many years and he is a welcomed edition to this forum. Chucks' comprehensive articles on nutrition basics, heart health, diabetes, menopause and other related topics are a welcomed edition to our Health Awareness Forum. I will focus on issues that I am intimately familiar with such as glaucoma, arrhythmia, related subjects, and physical fitness interests.
