Bookhaven Press LLC, founded in 1985, is an independent publishing house dedicated to producing award winning business, career, finance, and environmental compliance books. "The Book of U.S. Government Jobs" (now in its 10th edition) was nominated twice for "Best Career Title" by the Benjamin Franklin Awards Committee. Our 4th edition of "Health Care Job Explosion" was nominated for Best Books 2006 (Business-Career) title by USA Book News. Bookhaven's titles have been reviewed and recommended by Library Journal, Booklist, the New York Times and Washington Post, Career Opportunities News and over 100 other national magazines, newspapers and journals.

Bookhaven also publishes six web sites to compliment our front and back list titles and we work closely with affiliates to provide comprehensive services for our readers and site visitors. Other services include a comprehensive online retirement planning site for federal employees and retirees, a helpful Health Awareness Forum, a EHS Jobs and Career Planning Site, and we offer a book review section featuring other publisher's book of interest to our clients and site visitors.

Founder and President Dennis V. Damp has an extensive background in publishing, management, career development, and training. He worked 35 years for the federal government including active military service in the U.S. Air Force and in the federal civil service with the Federal Aviation Administration in high level management positions. Earlier in his career he was a training specialist who taught technical and career development courses throughout the country including directing and producing training videos and conducting onsite seminars. He was involved with federal recruiting, hiring, establishing interview panels, and was a rating official for selected positions in his organizations. He is the author of 22 books and has been a guest on hundreds of radio talk shows nationwide.
